Prof. Dr. Henrike Rau is Professor of Social Geography and Sustainability Research at the Department of Geography, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), Germany. She has made internationally recognised contributions to the conceptual and methodological advancement of social scientific mobility research, especially regarding the critical application of the ‘new mobilities paradigm’ and the investigation of mobility practices across the life course. She is currently leading mixed methods research projects on non-cyclists (RadAktiv) and cycling safety (SiRa) that incorporate mobility-biographical themes.
